We all know these winter months can put a damper on our workout progress. However, there are many other options to get a good workout in if you happen to be trapped in doors.
The first option that comes to mind is circuit training! I love circuit training because you don’t need much equipment or any equipment at all to get in a quality workout. The key to any exercise regimen is quality and not quantity, just like many other areas in life. With kettlebells, dumbbells, medballs, or resistance bands, the possibilities are endless.
Here is a list of my favorite full-body, body-weight exercises:
Crunches or Abdominal Twists
Complete 3 sets of these exercises, 15 repetitions each, and you will be sure to get your heart rate pumping!
Maybe you need to de-stress and meditate while locked in doors. Yoga is a great option for an indoor workout and it uses your body, mind, and spirit! If you don’t have a yoga mat, you can use a rug with a non-slip surface. Try a few of these yoga poses to remain healthy and calm.

Whatever you do, get up and get moving! Do not let the cold weather outside deter you from getting your workout in. Whatever you choose to do, stay safe, have a plan, and do it with a purpose! Now get sweatin!
