Back pain can be some of the most debilitating pain that a person can experience. Whether the pain comes from improper use, or lack of use, back pain does have other remedies besides surgery. Exercise is a natural way to strengthen the back muscles. Although the back muscles will eventually strengthen when exercises properly, we may still experience soreness or pain.
Pain and soreness are 2 different things. When I teach my clients the difference between the two, I tell that soreness may be typical after a hard day or work or a back workout at the gym. Soreness gets better with time and eventually goes away. On the other hand, pain is the constant throbbing, burning, or stinging pain. Pain may never go away. If you believe that you are experiencing pain, then you may want to consult your physician. If you are cleared for exercise, then great! Let’s begin to sweat! If not, then you must understand that proper health and maintenance should become a part of your daily routine. We only get one body in this lifetime and we have to take care of it.
Other than stretching alone, there are devices that can increase the benefits from stretching. One of them is the Pelvic Clock. If you think of moving your pelvis to the numbers on of a clock, especially in an order, then you have the right idea! The Pelvic Clock is a tool that you slip under your back as you lay on the floor. Developed by a former Olympic coach, the Pelvic Clock helps prevent and treat chronic back pain, strengthen core muscles, loosen tight muscles, and so much more. I like this device because it reduces that amount of medicine that you have to take for pain, and it is so easy that my mother can use it! I really like that it is portable, requires no batteries or electricity, and extremely easy to use. You do not need an athletic background to understand how it works. This is just an overall great, simple tool for relieving back pain.
Using all of these tips and stretches, do not let back pain hinder you any more! Take control of it, be proactive, and let’s keep the sweat rollin!
